Our treatment scope

Anxiety, depression, PTSD, and postpartum depression without psychosis.

Ketadream treats anxiety, depression, PTSD, and postpartum depression without psychosis. We do not treat bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, postpartum psychosis, drug or substance abuse, addiction, or chronic pain. Patients with any of these excluded conditions do not qualify for either IV or sublingual treatment at Ketadream, including when anxiety, depression, PTSD, or postpartum depression without psychosis is also present.

These are Ketadream’s clinic eligibility criteria. Meeting our treatment scope does not guarantee approval; all care requires a clinical evaluation. Please review these exclusions before requesting an evaluation or making a payment.

A few things to know

Questions are
welcome here.

Clear information about your options, your experience, and your next step.

What treatments does Ketadream offer?

Ketadream offers medically supervised IV ketamine infusions in our New York office and sublingual ketamine care through telemedicine for eligible patients in select states. We treat anxiety, depression, PTSD, and postpartum depression without psychosis.

How do IV and sublingual treatment differ?

IV ketamine is delivered through an intravenous line in the clinic with in-person monitoring. Sublingual ketamine is taken under the tongue according to an individualized prescription. The routes differ in absorption, treatment setting, supervision, and safety planning; doses and experiences are not interchangeable.

Which pathway is right for me?

Your clinician reviews your symptoms, treatment history, medical conditions, medications, location, and available support before recommending an approach. An online inquiry or questionnaire cannot determine eligibility by itself.

Which states are eligible for telemedicine?

We accept telemedicine inquiries from Arizona, New York, Texas, Florida, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Current state availability, your physical location, and clinical eligibility must be confirmed before scheduling care. Availability is not determined by your mailing address alone.

Which conditions does Ketadream treat?

We treat anxiety, depression, PTSD, and postpartum depression without psychosis. All patients must meet Ketadream’s eligibility criteria and complete a clinical evaluation before treatment is approved.

Is ketamine FDA-approved for mood disorders?

Ketamine is FDA-approved as an anesthetic; its use for mood disorders is off-label. Sublingual formulations used for this purpose are generally compounded and are not FDA-approved. Your clinician will explain the evidence, uncertainties, alternatives, and formulation-specific risks.

Is this the same as Spravato?

No. Spravato is a distinct intranasal esketamine product with specific FDA-approved indications and administration requirements. Ketadream’s IV and sublingual ketamine pathways should not be confused with Spravato.

How quickly might I notice a change?

Some people notice a reduction in depressive symptoms quickly, while others improve more gradually or do not benefit. Most rapid-onset evidence concerns IV ketamine and should not be assumed to apply equally to sublingual treatment. Benefits can be temporary, and no result is guaranteed.

What can a treatment feel like?

Some people experience a sense of detachment, altered perceptions, dizziness, nausea, or sleepiness. The experience varies. Your team explains what to expect and provides route-specific preparation, support, and aftercare instructions.

What are the potential risks?

Ketamine may raise blood pressure and heart rate and cause sedation, changes in perception, or breathing problems. It also has misuse potential. Repeated use may carry urinary and liver risks. In-person monitoring is not present in the same way during at-home treatment, so screening and an appropriate support and emergency plan are particularly important.

How long is an IV appointment?

The infusion itself is typically about 40 minutes, with additional time for preparation and monitored recovery. Your team will confirm the total appointment time before you arrive.

How many treatments will I need?

The number and timing of sessions are individualized and depend on the treatment route, clinical evaluation, response, and tolerability. Follow-up appointments are used to assess progress and whether continued treatment is appropriate.

Can I drive or work after a treatment?

Plan to rest and follow the restrictions given by your clinician. Arrange a responsible adult to take you home after an IV infusion. Do not drive, operate machinery, or undertake safety-sensitive tasks while impaired or before your clinician’s aftercare instructions permit, whichever is later.

How do I prepare, and should I stop my medications?

Share all prescriptions, over-the-counter medicines, supplements, alcohol, and substance use with your clinician. Follow the instructions supplied for your treatment route, including food and fluids. Do not stop, skip, or change a prescribed medication unless your treating clinician specifically tells you to.

What is required for sublingual care?

First, we confirm state availability and complete a clinical evaluation. Before any prescribed session, your clinician must review the setting, support person requirements, medication instructions, follow-up, and emergency plan. Prescribing is a clinical decision and is not guaranteed by completing an assessment.

Who does not qualify for treatment at Ketadream?

Ketadream treats anxiety, depression, PTSD, and postpartum depression without psychosis. We do not treat bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, postpartum psychosis, drug or substance abuse, addiction, or chronic pain. Patients with any of these excluded conditions do not qualify for either IV or sublingual treatment at Ketadream, including when anxiety, depression, PTSD, or postpartum depression without psychosis is also present.

This is Ketadream’s clinic policy and applies even when an excluded condition coexists with anxiety, depression, PTSD, or postpartum depression without psychosis. Please review these exclusions before requesting an evaluation or making a payment.

What if I am pregnant, trying to conceive, or breastfeeding?

Tell your clinician before scheduling treatment. Ketamine may be inappropriate in these circumstances, and individualized medical guidance is necessary. Do not proceed with a session until the prescribing team has reviewed your situation.

Does ketamine replace my current mental health care?

Discuss how ketamine would fit into your overall treatment plan. Continue working with your usual mental health providers, and coordinate medication changes through your treating clinicians. Ketadream’s infusion and sublingual services are medical treatments; psychotherapy is not included.

What are the costs, insurance coverage, and cancellation terms?

The initial 60-minute evaluation is $350. In-office IV infusions are $550 per visit. Sublingual telemedicine care is $225/month including prescribed medication and ongoing care; scheduled follow-up appointments are $150 each and are billed separately. Follow-up frequency is determined by your clinician. Begin with a website inquiry with your name, email, phone number, and date of birth. Our team then sends your secure Osmind intake invitation before the paid evaluation. Monthly program payments are collected manually by staff after enrollment; scheduled follow-up appointments are billed separately. Evaluation does not guarantee treatment or a prescription. Coverage varies by insurer and treatment; verify benefits directly. Request the current cancellation and refund policy before booking.

What if I need urgent help?

A website inquiry or routine portal message is not an emergency service and may not be reviewed immediately. If you are in immediate danger, cannot keep yourself safe, or have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. For urgent symptoms, contact your treating clinician promptly instead of waiting for a routine inquiry response.
